Chicanx-Latinx Studies & Comparative Literature Assist/Assoc Professor Tenure-track

The Department of Chicano and Latino Studies at Sonoma State University invites applications for a full time tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2020.

We are interested in a teacher-scholar whose work focuses on Chicanx-Latinx Studies and comparative literature, with preference given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Chicanx-Latinx Literature, Mexican Literature, Central American Literature, Border Literature and Latinx rhetorical and compositional traditions. We welcome applicants with varied research interests within this broad area, including but not limited to Critical Race Studies, Feminist Studies, Indigeneity Studies, and Afro-Latinx Studies.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chicanx-Latinx Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a closely related field, be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and research, and pose strong interdisciplinary skills.
