NACCS Immigrant Student Beca

Scholarship Information and Application

APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 18, 2019 - EXTENDED TO JANUARY 15th.

ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST
_____ Must be current undocumented immigrant student of Chicana/o heritage (preference will be given to those not eligible for other sources of financial aid).
_____ Must have graduated from high school or received a GED.
_____ Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited institution.
_____ Must be committed to the betterment of the Chicana and Chicano population as described in the NACCS preamble.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. If you meet all eligibility requirements, complete the electronic application below. Ineligible applications will not be returned and will be disqualified.

2. Write a personal statement (500 word maximum) describing: your educational goals, your immigrant experience, how your experience affects your educational pursuits, and your commitment to the betterment of Chicana and Chicano communities, as outlined in the mission of NACCS.

3. Send a copy of your transcripts (unofficial or copies are acceptable). Transcripts can be sent as a PDF and emailed to beca@naccs.org. Make sure that transcripts are legible.

4. Send a Letter of Recommendation from a professor. Click here for information for recommender and email the link to your letter writer.
